About this event

UnidosUS Latinx Health Equity Summit

Our Latinx Health Equity Summit this year will focus on community-based achievements that seek to solve health disparities and advance health equity in the Latinx community across five issue areas including social and emotional wellbeing, food insecurity, healthcare access, All of Us research, and the COVID-19 response and recovery.

The Latinx Health Equity Summit will serve as a unique space to convene a broader and diverse network of Latinx leaders, experts, practitioners, and community-trusted messengers in the space of health who can share place-based practices.

To deepen and localize its impact, UnidosUS will be hosting the Latinx Health Equity Summit in Phoenix, Arizona this Fall. We aim to elevate programmatic and policy priorities and achievements that aim to improve the health and well-being of the Latinx community.

Join us and elevate the Latinx voice in informing, shaping, and advancing health equity as we continue to respond, recover, and restore a healthier and stronger path forward in 2023.

Objectives:

  • Convene a broader audience and network of Latinx leaders, experts, practitioners, and trusted community messengers in health
  • Elevate community and placed-based practices and achievements
  • Share actionable steps and tools for community-based organizations and community health centers and key partner collaboration and investments
  • Highlight concrete recommendations, lessons learned, and tools that consider intersectionality across social determinants of health

Event Details

  • Meeting Location & Hotel: Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass 5594 W Wild Horse Pass Blvd, Phoenix, Arizona 85226.
  • Date and Time: Tuesday, December 6, 2022 beginning at 5:00pm (MST) through Thursday, December 8, 2022, 1:00pm (MST). Time zone note: All of Arizona is in the Mountain Time Zone. Since 1968, most of the state has not observed daylight savings time and remains on Mountain Standard Time (MST) all year.
  • Language: The Latinx Health Equity Summit will primarily be conducted in English. Interpretation will be available in both English and Spanish.

Hotel

Reservation Method for Attendees:

All guest room accommodations for the Latinx Health Equity Summit must be made either by calling in at (866) 837-4156 and referencing the UnidosUS Latinx Health Equity Summit and discounted rate or using the hotel room booking link on or before the cut-off date of midnight MST on Monday, November 14, 2022.

All discounted rooms have either one king bed or two double beds. You may request a bed of your preference when booking your stay. The hotel will do their best to accommodate your request based on availability. Individuals will be responsible for payment of all their hotel charges.

Charges include:

  • $161 per night & 13% Tax
  • $15 Resort Service Charge per night & 13% Tax
  • $10 One-Time Housekeeping Gratuity
  • $5 One-Time Bellman Gratuity
  • All other incidentals charged to the reservation

Reservation Policies:

  • A credit card is required to guarantee your reservation, but the card will not be charged at the time of booking.
  • A physical credit card and photo ID of the person who is listed on the booking will be required at check-in. The physical credit card will be authorized at check in for the full stay and tax plus an additional $100 deposit to cover any incidentals charged back to the room.
  • Attendees will not be charged until they depart the hotel.
  • An early departure fee equal to one night, room, and tax will be assessed for any early departures made after check-in.
  • Reservations may be canceled up to 7 days prior to arrival date with no fee.

Hotel Room Reservation Cut-Off Date:

As a courtesy to our attendees, UnidosUS has negotiated additional nights at the discounted nightly rate of $161 plus taxes and fees for attendees who would like to extend their stay up to two days before or three days after the Latinx Health Equity Summit. We encourage attendees to book the hotel reservation early. The discounted rate for event dates and extended pre- and post-stays are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

All guestroom reservations must be received no later than midnight MST on November 14, 2022 in order to be honored at the discounted group rate of $161 plus taxes and fees. Please note that the discounted rooms inventory may fill up before November 14, 2022.

Reservations completed after midnight MST on November 14, 2022 will be subject to general hotel inventory and current rates at the time of booking.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Proof of full vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test result is required to attend the event.
